Urban Design Planning for the City and Region of Al Baha – Al Baha / Saudi Arabia

The city of Al Baha, as provincial capital and tourism destination, is located in the southwest of the KSA (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia). An urban design plan was developed to strengthen the city’s image and identity. Based on analysis of urban structure, natural landscape, and traditional architecture, a large-scale urban design plan and detailed design guidelines for architecture and public spaces were developed. For key areas, detailed test designs were prepared to explore and propose how future construction and renovation in the city of Al Baha can be carried out in accordance with the design guidelines.
